Raven’s History
Raven Gemini creates thought-provoking burlesque pieces meant to titillate the brain just as much as the senses. She believes that entertainment should inspire the audience to aim ever higher in the pursuit of lofty goals, whether that means studying a new subject, or just understanding a really elaborate joke. Her work proves that being an intellectual doesn’t have to be stodgy and elitist, but can also be sexy, fun, and lead to a holistically richer life experience.
With over 15 years of experience as an entertainer, ranging from classic ballet, to fan dance, to acting and classical voice training, Raven actively challenges the idea that being a Jack of all-trades means mastering none. Her sense of musicality and emotion is unparalleled in the industry. After receiving her B.A. in theatre in 2008 from Alma College in Alma, MI, Raven took a leap of faith and landed in Chicago, where she has performed and taught ever since.
